The 3 mm "skeleton" aluminium backplate is a true lightweight, offering you a jacket with a weight of only 2.8 kg, perfect for the travel-minded diver. In addition, the reduced volume of the backplate ensures improved stability and trim.

The 17-litre bladder, made of robust 1000D Cordura, offers higher lift capacity, especially in the lower back area, making the Mares Tech-Jacket ideal for deeper dives.

XR BCD Single Tank Jacket with aluminium plate and secure tank attachment

The XR BCD Single Backmount Jacket is delivered with a mounted single tank adapter made of 3 mm aluminium and two tank straps with robust stainless steel buckles that guarantee safe and easy handling.

The two aluminium D-rings on the waist belt also allow stage tanks to be attached.

With a fit that can be completely customised, the Mares BCD offers a perfect fit with optimum freedom of movement. Because it can be adjusted so flexibly, this Mares jacket is available in just one size, according to the motto - one size fits all.

Mqes has thickly padded the shoulder straps, the backplate and the lumbar area for high wearing comfort, even with a lot of weight or during long dives.

The shoulder straps and waist belt of the XR REC Trim are separate from each other and are both quickly adjustable and fitted with robust buckles. This allows the jacket to be quickly and easily adapted to the individual needs of the diver.

Another new feature is that the waist belt can no longer slip, even without a triglider, thanks to the optimised design. The crotch strap is also easily adjustable and attached to the backplate with 2 anchor points for greater comfort and stability.

Additionally available, tear-resistant weight pockets for this Mares buoyancy compensator

The robust XR Mares weight pockets are made of 1200D ballistic nylon and 600D polyester outer material and offer space for up to 4kg of lead weights per pocket. The XR weight pouches are easy to insert, even when fully loaded. Thanks to the secure and reliable Fastex locking system, you can operate them with one hand and concentrate fully on your dive.
