Diving Masks

Diving Masks

In our online shop for diving equipment, you will find a vast selection of high-quality diving masks from renowned manufacturers such as Mares, Hollis, Scubapro, or TUSA.

Why such a wide range? Because a sensible diver needs a good and first and foremost, a fitting diving mask, one that sits comfortably and seals well, one that suits diving habits and is made of high-quality materials.

Which is the best diving mask for me?

The fit of a diving mask is crucial for the enjoyment of the dive, and equally important is the quality of the diving mask, as it is vital for the diver's safety. A diving mask must meet certain minimum quality requirements to qualify as a diving mask at all, and it is precisely according to these criteria that we have selected the masks in our online dive shop.

To find the diving mask that fits you, we are very happy to advise you on your choice in our product FAQs and in our comprehensive product consultation.

What makes a diving mask safe?

Every mask in our online dive shop is a diving mask with safety glass, pressure-tested construction with a robust frame, very durable and flexible silicone seal, and an adjustable strap. And these are the most critical features that a diving mask should have. Everything else is a matter of comfort – and underwater comfort means fun diving. For more information on quality and fit differences, read our FAQs.

What makes a diving mask comfortable?

Comfort depends primarily on fit – so choose a mask that suits your face shape. In our online dive shop, you will find many diving masks with a standard fit as well as a good selection of narrow diving masks and also masks for wider faces to ensure everyone finds their optimal fit.

If in doubt, you can also try a diving mask with ultra-soft and supple silicone that easily adapts to any facial contour, like the new TUSA diving masks from the Freedom Generation, which are extremely adaptable.

When fitting the mask, also pay attention to the size of the nose pocket, or whether the frame of the diving mask creates pressure points on the face.

How to properly try on a diving mask, you can also find out in our FAQs.

Diving Masks with Wide Field of Vision – Single Lens Masks and Diving Masks with Side Windows

For a broad field of vision while diving, you can choose a two-lens diving mask with large lenses or opt for a single lens mask without a central bridge in the front window.

For a panoramic view, there are masks with side windows, which are diving masks with additional glass on the sides to offer more peripheral vision. These are more masks with a nostalgic charm, as these side-window diving masks were very fashionable a few years ago, but due to their large internal volume, are not as popular in the diving world anymore, yet they still have a loyal fan base and are also excellent as snorkeling masks.

Low Volume Diving Masks

Many divers, particularly those who like to dive a bit deeper, swear by masks with a small internal volume. These masks have the advantage of being easier to clear but primarily make equalising the pressure in the mask much easier with increasing depth.

Diving Masks with UV Protection - Mirrored Diving Masks and Masks with Black Silicone

Diving masks with black silicone mask bodies offer special protection for the eyes as they block UV rays that can enter from the side or above through the mask seal in very sunny areas.

Alternatively, in our online dive shop, we offer diving masks with mirrored lenses that provide a high level of UV protection. With modern diving masks with UV protection, you no longer have to worry about losing clarity of vision, as with a cheap pair of sunglasses, because the tinted and mirrored diving masks are made of special glass quality and with a high-quality coating that blocks UV rays but still allows for absolutely clear vision and brilliant colours underwater.

Dive Masks with Prescription Lenses

For divers who require vision correction, i.e., who wear glasses or contact lenses in everyday life, it is possible to install prescription lenses in a standard diving mask from our online dive shop. Not all diving masks are available with prescription lenses as standard, but in our online dive shop, we offer a good selection of diving masks with prescription lenses, where you can order the lenses with the desired dioptre strength at the same time. On request, we can install the prescription lenses directly into the mask for you.

Diving Mask with Ear Protection

Even sensitive ears sometimes need a bit more protection when diving, from cold water or plankton, and for this purpose, a special diving mask with ear protection that can be found in our online dive shop is excellent, a practical diving mask with ear flaps that prevent water from entering the ears.

Diving Masks for Children

For children, we recommend special children's masks with a narrow fit and light frame because, especially for smaller children, a comfortable fit and a good seal are very important for ensuring fun and safety in the water.

Snorkel Masks and Sets with Diving Mask and Snorkel

Of course, all the diving masks that you find in our online dive shop can also be used as snorkel masks. But we also offer special snorkel masks, which are usually a bit simpler and cheaper, matching snorkels to them, and also or complete snorkel sets including diving mask with snorkel and possibly snorkeling fins in our online dive shop in the snorkeling category.
