The Apeks RK3 fins are high-performance solid rubber fins from Apeks, high-quality Apeks diver fins with open foot pocket, of the same class like the Hollis F1 rubber fins or the Scubapro Jet Fin open heel fins, developed and tested in cooperation with the US military to meet the highest standards.
The Apeks RK3 device fins are made of durable thermoplastic rubber with a perfect balance between elasticity and thrust, a material that was also selected because it is absolutely insensitive to salt water, extreme temperatures and mechanical stress. Thus, the Apeks RK3 fin has become an absolute heavy-duty fin, with perfect propulsion and extremely high resistance, the first choice as a professional fin for dive instructors, for divers in the navy or the coast guard.
The short and wide fin blades of the Apeks RK3 fins ensure maximum forward propulsion and excellent manoeuvrability. The water resistance on the upstroke when diving with the Apeks RK3 open heel fins is minimized by the vents and ribs in the fin blade, which also prevent vortexes and ensure a calm and even water flow along the fin.
The foot pocket of the Apeks RK3 open heel fins was cut extra-wide because the fins are often used in extreme conditions, in harsh environments in which the divers have to wear drysuits or heavy-duty neoprene boots. But the fin straps of the Apeks RK3 fins, consisting of robust stainless-steel springs, ensure that the fins adapt to every type of boot and always provide a good fit. In addition, thanks to these ingenious steel straps with large rubber straps on the heel, the RK3 fins can be don and doff easily, even with thick neoprene gloves. The Apeks stainless steel fin straps are attached to the fins with robust and break-proof buckles and can be replaced by the diver himself without tools if necessary.
