Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD regulator
The Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD regulator is a Mares regulator of the latest Mares generation, which also includes pieces of jewellery such as the Mares Ultra ADJ 82X or the Mares Fusion 72X, a powerful regulator in which Mares has packed all of the innovation and modern technology that this traditional manufacturer has discovered during Decades of research in the field of Diving regulators.
We are talking about groundbreaking regulator technologies such as Mares VAD, Mares Twin Power, Mares DFC or, last but not least, the adjustable breathing resistance or the swivel turret with 5 LP-Ports that qualify the Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD as the perfect regulator for technical diving or regulator for diving instructors and professional divers.
Mares 82X PVD 1st stage
The Mares 82X PVD first stage is a full metal Mares 1st stage made of solid brass, chrome-plated and nickel-plated. In addition, the Mares 82X PVD 1st stage has an extremely robust, scratch-resistant PVD coating so that this Mares regulator can withstand even the most demanding dives without any problems. Even in the coldest water the Mares 82X PVD 1st stage will not freeze because its outer surface has been enlarged with grooves to optimize heat exchange.
On the Mares 1st stage 82X you will find 5 (!)medium-pressure ports placed on a swivel turret, which allow you an absolutely flexible hose routing and regulator configuration. All 5 LP ports are equipped with natural DFC. This is the proven Mares Dynamic Flow Control technology, which minimizes low pressure decrease during inhalation thus providing excellent breathing performance, even under extreme conditions.
The positioning of the HP ports is also new, because they are slightly tilted on the 82X PVD 1st stage to improve the hose routing even more.
Another innovation in the Mares 82X PVD 1st stage, and in all Mares 1st stages with the designation "X", is the ACT valve, provided with Advanced Coating Technology, which leads to 600% more valve durability.
Of course, the new Mares 1st stage 82X PVD also offers the meanwhile very popular AST - Auto Sealing Technolgy, which means that the new Mares 1st stages automatically seal themselves as soon as they are removed from the dive tank in order to avoid accidental water ingress .
Mares Epic ADJ 2nd stage
The Mares Epic ADJ 2nd stage is a Mares 2nd stage with a pneumatically balanced downstream valve and, just like the 1st stage of this regulator, a full metal stage, consisting of brass, nickel-plated and chrome-plated with a robust PVD coating.
In the new series of Mares regulators, many regulators, such as the Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD, are equipped with adjustable breathing resistance, sometimes even on the octopus, which explains the ADJ as "adjustable".
As we are used to from Mares, the Mares Epic ADJ 2nd stage is also equipped with VAD - Vortex Assisted Design technology. Air flows through the bypass tube on the Mares Epic ADJ 2nd stage, creating a vortex with underpressure in its centre, which sucks in the membrane and causes the regulator to react even more sensitive to your breathing, significantly improving breathing comfort at every depth. But that alone is not enough - the new Mares 2nd stage Epic ADJ even offers you an improved VAD + option that gives you an extra breathing push in extreme diving situations. Thanks to the Twin Power switch on the Mares Epic ADJ 2nd stage, you can choose between VAD and VAD + at any time.
The Mares Epic 2nd stages are equipped as standard with a Superflex hose, which is much more durable than normal LP hoses and, thanks to its flexibility, offers you maximum freedom of movement when diving.
