In its unique fin test facility, Mares has perfected the channel thrust technology, as prooved by the Mares Avanti Excel fin, which manages to produce high speed and optimal propulsion with moderate force, even in strong currents.
Since Mother Nature always has the best solutions, the fin blade of the powerful Mares Fin Avanti Excel was inspired by the fins of whales in order to optimize the power transfer from the foot to the fin blade.
The exceptional propulsion of the Mares Avanti Excel fin is due to the special structure of the fin blade, which has a wide flow channel in the middle and two smaller channels at the side, which manage to displace an incredible amount of water for a fin of this size.
The patented material Tecralene has already been used for some Mares fins before, such as the Mares Plana Avanti Quattro, which was the best-selling fin in the world. Tecralene, which is also used in the Mares Avanti Excel fins, is extremely sturdy, providing unrivalled durability and longevity. In addition, two further materials were incorporated into the Mares Avanti Excel fin and processed together to a high-quality and high-performance material mixture.
An argument for the Mares Avanti Excel is also the very soft foot pocket, which wraps softly around your foot, and ensures a comfortable fit without pressure points, but also guarantees a secure hold of the fin.
