Mares XR Base Layer Pants
The Mares XR Base Layer Pants are specialised undershock trousers designed for use with the Mares XR series drysuits. The Mares XR Base Layer Pants are made from advanced POLARTEC® POWERSTRETCH® material. This ultralight, stretchy, and breathable fabric was originally developed by NASA for extreme deployments. Additionally, the trousers are lined inside with a soft fleece that wicks moisture away from the skin, keeping you dry. This innovative construction traps an insulating layer of air between your skin and the undergarment, which helps to maintain your body temperature even in cold weather.
Heat Protection When Wet
It is particularly noteworthy that the special Polartec fabric of the Mares Base Layer clothing also provides cold protection if water seeps into your suit. Even when wet, heat loss remains minimal, allowing these undergarments to offer additional protection even under a loose-fitting neoprene wetsuit. This means you can dive in cold water with confidence.
