Snorkels without Valve

Basic Snorkel Without Valve

For snorkelers who enjoy longer snorkeling tours, a snorkel with a purge valve and/or dry top is essential. However, many other water sports enthusiasts, such as divers, competitive swimmers, freedivers, or water polo and underwater rugby players, have different requirements for their snorkel and therefore prefer classic snorkels that are lightweight, short, and without a purge valve or dry top.

In our online shop for snorkeling equipment, we offer the perfect snorkel for every water sports enthusiast.

Classic Snorkels Without Valve

For those who prefer a simple basic snorkel without a valve, i.e., a snorkel without a purge valve or dry top, we offer classic J-shaped snorkels in our online dive shop, such as the Mares Element snorkel, a high-quality snorkel from Mares made of very lightweight and flexible material with a replaceable mouthpiece. Alternatively, we also offer the Mares @ snorkel in our online dive store, which impresses with its flexibility, as it’s made of very soft material that can be easily rolled up. These basic snorkels without valves are also well-suited for water polo or underwater rugby.

Foldable Snorkels for Divers

Divers often choose a simple snorkel without a valve, as the snorkel isn’t frequently used when diving. Therefore, divers prefer a snorkel that doesn’t stay attached to the mask strap but can be stored in the jacket pocket. The Mares @ snorkel is also a great choice here, as it can be rolled up like a coil, making it easy to store in the diver’s jacket or suit pocket. This makes the Mares snorkel without valve, the Mares @, a perfect alternative to the well-known Pocket Snorkel, which is a foldable snorkel with a valve.

Freediving Snorkels

Freedivers or apnea divers also need a very lightweight and short snorkel without a valve. The Scubapro Apnea snorkel, a high-quality freediving snorkel from Scubapro, is ideal for this, as it is popular among freedivers and designed specifically for their needs. However, any other short and lightweight snorkel without a valve also works well as a freediving snorkel.

Front-Mounted Snorkels Without Valve

For competitive swimmers who practice certain strokes with a snorkel, there are front-mounted snorkels, which attach at the forehead rather than the side of the face. These front-mounted snorkels, like the Train Air front snorkel without a valve from our water sports equipment shop, have a special shape and attachment with a headband, making them unsuitable for traditional snorkeling or diving.

Each water sport is unique, and each snorkel is different, but in our online dive shop, you’ll find every snorkel you could need, from snorkels with purge valves and dry tops to children’s snorkels and freediving snorkels, as well as foldable pocket snorkels, snorkeling snorkels, front-mounted snorkels for competition, and classic snorkels without valves. All snorkels in our online snorkeling shop are high-quality, safe, award-winning snorkels from renowned brands such as Mares, Scubapro, TUSA, Atomic, and Aqualung.
