Scubapro Inflator - Octopus Combination with Outstanding Breathing Comfort
The most ingenious innovation of the Scubapro Air 2 of the 5th Generation is the incredible work of breathing. The work of breathing of the latest model has more than halved compared to the previous model, from 3.55 J/l to an astonishing 1.34 J/l, putting the new Air 2 easily in the shade over some established second stages. This significantly improved work of breathing is achieved through reducing the inhalation and exhalation resistance, which has been proven in professional regulator tests. The work of breathing of the Scubapro Air 2 5th Generation is even better than what the latest EN250:2014 standard stipulates. This very pleasant breathing resistance is especially important in stress situations underwater to prevent panic and hyperventilation. Also noteworthy is the fact that the breathing performance of the Scubapro Air 2 remains constant irrespective of the pressure.
Scubapro Air 2 with Easier Handling
Another improvement noted in the Air 2 5th Generation is the enlarged and better positioned inflator buttons, allowing divers with thick gloves to inflate and deflate the jacket effortlessly. Additionally, the air intake button is equipped with a better lever to minimise the effort needed to inflate the buoyancy compensator device.
Also new in the new Scubapro Air 2 Octopus/Inflator is the practical Dive/Pre-Dive switch, which allows you to adjust the air delivery of the octopus to be easier or harder.
For better and safer grip in emergencies, the mouthpiece of the new Air 2 is now equipped with large bite tabs.
The purge button cap of the Scubapro Air 2 has also been optimised, making it even easier to find, and more flexible, to ensure effortless operation even with thick neoprene gloves.
