Mares Ultra 62X regulator with Dual Octopus
The Ultra 62X is a Mares regulator of the latest generation, which also includes gems such as the Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD or the Mares Ultra ADJ 82X, a powerful regulator that scores with modern technology, high-quality materials and good breathing Performance, with a robust high-performance 1st stage that is also available with advanced icing protection, as Atlas ADJ 62X TPB with cold water kit.
The Ultra 62X is equipped with the proven Mares VAD technology, with a Twin Power Switch for optimised air delivery in any diving situation, and with DFC on all ND ports.
The Mares 1st Stage 62X
The Mares 62X 1st stage is a balanced, diaphragm-controlled 1st stage, robust and efficient, with a modern pearl chrome finish.
Unbeatable breathing performance
The 62X offers excellent breathing comfort not only for the primary 2nd stage, but also for the octopus. This is due to the fact that this Mares 1st stage was provided with 4 DFC ports in order to offer constant and natural breathing resistance at any depth even for the alternate air source, as the DFC system (Dynamic Flow Control) minimizes low pressure decrease during Inhalation.
Easy configuration
The 4 LP ports and the slightly angled 2 HP ports have been carefully placed at a distance from each other to allow flexible and easy attachment of the hoses and / or transmitters to the 1st stage, thus enabling an individual configuration of the Mares regulator.
A robust 1st stage well protected against external influences
Like all other new Mares 1st stages with an “X” in their names there is an innovative ACT Valve inside the 62X 1st stage, a valve provided with Advanced Coating Technology, which leads to 600% more valve durability.
Of course, this new Mares 1st stage also offers the meanwhile very popular AST - Auto Sealing Technology, which means that the 1st stages automatically seal themselves as soon as they are removed from the dive tank in order to avoid accidental water ingress.
Mares Ultra 2nd stage
The Mares Ultra is an ultra-light 2nd stage with a standard downstream valve, a robust 2nd stage made of very light techno polymer, with a very large, pivoting purge button.
Excellent breathing performance in every depth
As we are used to from Mares, the Ultra 2nd stage is also equipped with VAD - Vortex Assisted Design technology. Air flows through the bypass tube, creating a vortex with underpressure in its centre, which sucks in the membrane and causes the regulator to react even more sensitive to your breathing, significantly improving breathing comfort at every depth. But that alone is not enough - the 2nd stage Ultra even offers you an improved VAD + option that gives you an extra breathing push in extreme diving situations. Thanks to the Twin Power switch, you can choose between VAD and VAD + at any time.
With robust Superflex hose
The Mares Ultra is equipped with a 75cm Superflex hose as standard, a LP-hose which is much more durable than normal LP hoses and, thanks to its flexibility, offers you maximum freedom of movement when diving.
Mares Dual Octopus
The Dual Octopus is a modified version of the Mares Dual 2nd stage, a light, compact and modern Alternate Air Source, with good breathing performance and robust construction.

The new Mares Dual is made of very light and unbreakable Ultralight Technopolymer, which is extremely abrasion-resistant and resistant to salt water.
Very good breathing performance due to patented VAD technology
The Dual Octopus is a compensated 2nd stage, equipped with Mares PAD Technology, Pneumatically Assisted Design, which guarantees very good breathing work.
The breathing resistance scores with excellent values, because the Dual Octopus is equipped with the same patented VAD technology as all Mares Dual 2nd stages. The VAD system - vortex supported design with built-in hydrodynamic reflector ensures constant air flow at any depth.
