The Mares Atlas 62X with octopus Atlas ADJ is an robust and very powerful Mares regulator set, an full-metal Mares regulator, like the popular Mares Epic ADJ, or the classic Mares Abyss Navy, powerful and freezing resistant diving regulators that guarantee optimal air delivery performance even in great depth or in in very cold water.

Mares 1st stage 62X

The Mares 62X 1st stage is a balanced, diaphragm-controlled 1st stage, robust and efficient, with a modern pearl chrome finish.

Good freezing protection - retrofittable with Dry Kit

This 1st stage is designed not to freeze in cold water, but for extreme applications it is also available with an additional TBP Dry Kit, as 62X TBP with balanced piston controlled dry kit, which perfectly protects the stage from freezing in ice water. This TBP Dry Kit for the 62X is also available separately in our online shop and you can easily upgrade your first stage for ice diving and other very cold diving environments.

Unbeatable breathing performance

The 62X offers excellent breathing comfort not only for the primary 2nd stage, but also for the octopus. This is due to the fact that this Mares 1st stage was provided with 4 DFC ports in order to offer constant and natural breathing resistance at any depth even for the alternate air source, as the DFC system (Dynamic Flow Control) minimizes low pressure decrease during inhalation.

Easy configuration

The 4 LP ports and the slightly angled 2 HP ports have been carefully placed at a distance from each other to allow flexible and easy attachment of the hoses and / or transmitters to the 1st stage, thus enabling an individual configuration of the Mares regulator.

A robust 1st stage well protected against external influences

Like all other new Mares 1st stages with an “X” in their names there is an innovative ACT Valve inside the 62X 1st stage, a valve provided with Advanced Coating Technology, which leads to 600% more valve durability.

Of course, this new Mares 1st stage also offers the meanwhile very popular AST - Auto Sealing Technology, which means that the 1st stages automatically seal themselves as soon as they are removed from the dive tank in order to avoid accidental water Ingress.

The Mares Atlas 2nd stage

Robust full-metal stage with improved breathing comfort

The Atlas is a very robust second stage, thanks to the full-metal construction, which grants it exceptional durability but also absolute resistance against freezing. The Atlas is a compensated 2nd stage, equipped with the Mares PAD technology, Pneumatically Assisted Design, which ensures a lower spring tension thus significantly increasing the breathing comfort.

Constant breathing performance in every depth

Breathing through this Mares 2nd stage feels like natural breathing thanks to the patented VAD system, vortex support, which ensures a constant flow of air at every depth. The built-in hydrodynamic reflector inside stage ensures that the air from the VAD bypass tube is delivered directly to the mouthpiece, and guarantees the diver a constant, easy inhalation.

The purge button is made of robust metal, is large and pivotable, and can therefore be operated easily in any position and even with thick gloves.

With robust Spuerflex LP-hose

The Atlas was equipped with a light and flexible 75cm Superflex hose, which guarantees you maximum freedom of movement and no tension or strain in the neck or jaw muscles, even in strong currents or long dives.

Pneumatically balanced 2nd stage

The Atlas ADJ alternate air supply, like the Atlas ADJ main 2nd stage, is a stage with pneumatically balanced downstream valve, an all-metal stage made of brass, nickel-plated and chrome-plated.

Adjustable breathing resistance

Not only the new main 2nd stages from Mares but also many alternate air supplies of the last generation, such as the Atlas ADJ or the Epic ADJ, are equipped with adjustable breathing resistance, which also explains the ADJ designation as "adjustable".

With patented VAD technology

The innovative Mares VAD - Vortex Assisted Design technology, which ensures excellent breathing comfort at great depths, can also be found on this octopus. Air flows through the bypass tube, creating a vortex with underpressure in its centre, which sucks in the membrane and causes the regulator to react even more sensitive to your breathing, significantly improving breathing comfort at every depth.

With free-flow protection in strong currents or while submerging

To ensure that the Atlas ADJ octopus does not free-flow when submerging or in strong currents, it was equipped with the patented mesh grid in the purge button cover.

Good visibility thanks to a bright-yellow Superflex hose

Thia Mares Octopus comes with a yellow 75cm Superflex hose, which is much more durable than normal LP hoses and, moreover, with its flexibility gives you maximum freedom of movement when diving.
