Mares First Stage 15X – Compact and Innovative First Stage Made from Durable Materials

The first stage of the Mares Dual 15X stands out with its compact design and lightweight of just 598 g in the DIN version. With an elegant, sandblasted finish and two high-pressure ports, it combines functionality with appealing aesthetics.

The 15X features four medium-pressure outlets, one of which is equipped with the proven Dynamic Flow Control (DFC) technology. This ensures optimal breathing gas supply to the primary second stage, allowing for nearly effortless breathing – even under challenging conditions. You will enjoy every breath, as the medium-pressure drop during inhalation is minimised, providing you with excellent breathing comfort.

Like all first stages in the "X" series, the 15X impresses with its extraordinary longevity, thanks to the innovative ACT Valve Advanced Coating Technology. This novel valve coating increases the lifespan by up to 600%, even under extreme diving conditions. Furthermore, the recommended service interval for the "X" stages is extended to two years, compared to one year for conventional regulators (nevertheless, you should have an annual inspection performed).

The current version of the 15X also offers an optimised handwheel that ensures optimal grip and facilitates installation and removal.

Mares Second Stage Dual – Lightweight Second Stage with Optimised Breathing Comfort

The second stage of the Dual 15X weighs in at just 183 g and is one of the lightest second stages on the market. Made from ultra-light technopolymer, it impresses not only with its low weight but also with its pneumatically balanced design that provides good breathing comfort. The Superflex hose ensures a high gas flow, regardless of diving depth.

Additionally, the second stage features the revolutionary Vortex Assisted Design (VAD), which has been optimised in this version. The air is directed through a special bypass pipe that creates a vortex. In the centre of this vortex, a partial vacuum is formed, which draws the diaphragm during inhalation, thus increasing the sensitivity of the regulator. This means that, no matter how deep you dive, you won't need any additional adjustments. The regulator consistently performs well, allowing you to breathe effortlessly at any depth.
