Garmin Tempe Temperature Wireless Sensor
This practical Garmin temperature sensor can be paired with a whole range of Garmin cycling computers, sports watches, dive Computers like the Decent Mk3 or Mk2s which can also be used as outdoor watches and other wearables to constantly monitor the temperature during a tour and save it in your records. Whether you are hiking, swimming or cycling, measure and record all temperature fluctuations.
Precise and continuous temperature measurement on every outdoor tour
Once paired with a compatible Garmin device, the Garmin temperature sensor measures the ambient temperature approximately once a minute and transmits it to the connected device. Even when not connected to a device, the sensor still stores the minimum and maximum temperature of the last 24 hours and transmits this to the host device as soon as it is switched on. So leave the sensor outside overnight when camping and you will receive precise information about the temperature of the previous night in the morning.
The wireless temperature sensor for Garmin devices is also easy to use in the water, as it is waterproof to a depth of 10 metres, so it can also be worn for many water sports, whether surfing, rowing, swimming or snorkelling, so that you can keep an eye on the water temperature and store it.
Intuitive pairing via ANT+.
The Tempe is equipped with a Garmin classic ANT+ sensor, so all you have to do is search for the corresponding menu item for existing ANT+ sensors on your device and activate the connection with the Tempe sensor. Otherwise the data will be transmitted reliably via radio.
The Tempe sensor does not have an on/off button, so it works continuously and can be connected to a compatible device at any time to transmit temperature information.
Secure and simple mounting
The Garmin temperature sensor comes with a sturdy clip that allows you to attach the sensor to your equipment. The clip is well suited for attaching the sensor to a backpack strap, a bike bag or even the laces of your hiking boots. However, please ensure that the sensor is not exposed to direct sunlight or direct physical contact so that the temperature measurement is not influenced by the sun's rays or body temperature. The sensor should be in free contact with the ambient air (or water) to ensure the best measurement results.
Long battery life and easy battery replacement
The Tempe sensor is powered by a standard CR2032 cell battery, which can be easily replaced by the user. According to the manufacturer, one battery lasts for approx. 1 year of standard operation. As already mentioned, the wireless sensor cannot be switched off to prolong the battery life, and you may need to remove the battery from the sensor for longer storage periods.
