The Atomic Aquatics regulator ST1 with Octopus Z2
The Atomic Aquatics regulator ST1 & Z2, consisting of the Atomic ST1 regulator and the Atomic Z2 Octopus, is more than a good regulator. The ST1 Atomic Aquatics regulator is an absolute high-end Atomic diving regulator, because it scores with features that go beyond perfect diving performance - it's about high-tech material mixtures, environmental friendliness, unprecedented resilience and reliability.
There are lots of goods reasons why Atomic Aquatics uses a material mix of titanium and stainless steel for this first-class regulator ST1. First and foremost, it is about the environment – as titanium requires protective chrome plating or a nickel coating, which means a great environmental impact in production, Atomic uses only as much titanium as necessary and yet as little as possible for the ST1 Regulator. Therefore, you will find Titan in the Atomic Aquatics regulator ST1 only where it is absolutely necessary, in wearing parts in the 2nd stage of the ST1 regulator. The 1st stage is made of solid 316 stainless steel that is twice as hard as Brass and almost as insensitive to corrosion as titanium.
The Atomic Aquatics 1st stage ST1
The ST1 1st stage from Atomic Aquatics is made entirely of solid 316 stainless steel, a material that is extremely robust and resistant, both in salt water, in chlorinated water or in soiled water, and also withstands a few bumps or scratches. The Atomic Aquatics ST1 1st stage is a piston-controlled 1st stage with a Jet Seat high-pressure piston.
The standard sealing of the Atomic Aquatics ST1 1st stage prevents icing in the first row, but also soiling of the 1st stage.
The Atomic Aquatics 1st stage ST1 has 2 high pressure ports and 5 low pressure ports which are positioned on a swivel turret to allow a flexible and individual regulator configuration.
The Atomic Aquatics 2nd stage ST1
In contrast to the 1st stage, the ST1 Atomic Aquatics 2nd stage was made entirely of titanium, as we already know from the other Atomic Aquatics 2nd stages T2 or Atomic B2.
A lot of innovation and patented technology has also been packed into this Atomic Aquatics 2nd stage ST1, such as the patented Atomic Seat Saving Orifice made of titanium or the patented AFC technology, the Atomic Automatic Flow control, both of which ensure perfect air flow and high breathing comfort. The new high-flow housing of the Atomic Aquatics ST12nd stage guarantees a low breathing resistance even when diving at greater depths.
In order to adapt the air supply to the individual needs of the diver, the Atomic Aquatics ST1 2nd stage was equipped with adjustable breathing resistance, which can be adjusted easily and steplessly. The elliptical exhalation valve of the Atomic Aquatics ST1 2nd stage ensures a comfortable breathing resistance and keeps the air bubbles out of the diver's face.
The mouthpiece of the Atomic Aquatics regulator ST1 is a very comfortable silicone mouthpiece with fixed bite tabs.
The Atomic Aquatics Z2 octopus
The octopus of the Atomic regulator set ST1 is above average in every respect. The Atomic Z2 octopus works with a demand valve and does not simply deliver a little air to survive in emergency situations, but surprises with an excellent air delivery performance at every depth, giving every diver in need security and lowering his stress.
The Atomic Z2 octopus demand valve is made of titanium or 316 stainless steel to reduce wear to a minimum. The housing of the demand valve for the Atomic Octopus Z2 is made of brass, not chrome-plated as usual, but coated with a rare and very high-quality zirconium plating to guarantee maximum durability.
Like every other Atomic Aquatics octopus, the Atomic Z2 Octopus is equipped with adjustable breathing resistance, because Atomic is of the opinion that even an alternate air source should grant comfort in case of emergency.
The Atomic Aquatics Octopus Z2 has a modern, elegant design with clearly visible yellow elements on the large purge button, and is equipped with a 90cm long black medium pressure hose
