Mares Ultra ADJ Octopus
The Ultra ADJ Octopus is a Mares alternate air source for Mares regulators, an Octopus that you can purchase individually to Combine it with your favourite high-performance Mares Regulators, such as the Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD or the Mares Ultra ADJ 82X.

The Ultra ADJ Octopus is a high-performant Mares alternate air sources which provides all benefits of a primary Mares 2nd stage.
The Ultra ADJ is a compensated Mares 2nd stage with a pneumatically balanced downstream valve and PVD (Pneumatically Assisted Design) Technology, a very light 2nd stage made of robust techno polymer with pearl finishing, with a very large, pivoting purge button with Mesh-Grid insert to prevent Free-Flow.
Many innovative features and very high breathing comfort
As we are used to from Mares, the Ultra ADJ, as an octopus and also as a primary second stage, is equipped with VAD - Vortex Assisted Design technology. Air flows through the bypass tube on the 2nd stage, creating a vortex with underpressure in its centre, which sucks in the membrane and causes the regulator to react even more sensitive to your breathing, significantly improving breathing comfort at every depth. But that is not all - the Ultra ADJ even offers you an improved VAD + option that gives you an extra breathing push in extreme diving situations. Thanks to the bright-yellow Twin Power switch on the Mares Ultra ADJ octopus, you can choose between VAD and VAD + at any time.
With adjustable breathing resistance
In the new series of Mares regulators, many 2nd stages and alternate air sources, and also the Ultra ADJ, offer an adjustable breathing resistance, which explains the ADJ as "adjustable".
With high-quality Superflex hose as standard
You’ll get this Mares Octopus with a bright-yellow 75cm Superflex hose, which is much more durable than normal LP hoses and, thanks to its flexibility, offers you maximum freedom of movement when diving.
