Mares Epic ADJ Octopus
The Epic ADJ Octopus is a Mares alternate air source for Mares regulators, an Octopus that you can purchase individually or, for example, in combination with one of the high-performance Mares regulator of the latest generation such as the Mares Epic ADJ 82X PVD or the Mares Ultra ADJ 82X.

The Epic ADJ alternative air supply, just like the primary 2nd stage of the same name, is a Mares 2nd stage with pneumatically balanced downstream valve, a full metal stage, consisting of brass, nickel-plated and chrome-plated.
Very powerful alternate air supply, comparable to a primary 2nd stage
The Epic ADJ Octopus is one of the most powerful Mares alternative air souces ever made, as it does not lack any of the advantages of a primary Mares 2nd stage.
As we have come to expect from Mares, the Epic ADJ, as a 2nd stage and also as an Octopus, is equipped with VAD - Vortex Assisted Design technology. Air flows through a bypass tube into the 2nd stage, creating a vortex that generates negative pressure, sucks in the membrane and causes the regulator to react even more precisely to your breathing and significantly improves breathing comfort at any depth. Alternatively, the Epic ADJ Octopus even offers an improved VAD+ option that provides you with an additional breathing boost in extreme diving situations. Thanks to the yellow Twin Power switch, you can choose between VAD and VAD+ at any time.
The Mares Epic ADJ Octopus is equipped with the patented Mesh Grid in the purge button cover to ensure that it does not free flow at any depth or during immersion.

In the new series of Mares regulators, many 2nd stages, such as the Epic ADJ also as an Octopus, are equipped with adjustable breathing resistance, which also explains the name ADJ as in "adjustable".
High-quality Superflex hose as standard
This Mares Octopus is supplied with a yellow, 75cm long Superflex hose, which is much more durable than normal LP hoses and also offers you maximum freedom of movement when diving thanks to its flexibility.
