The Mares Octopus Dual
The Octopus Dual is a lightweight and high-quality Mares alternative air supply from the new Mares Dual family. You will find this Octopus as standard on many new Mares regulators, such as the Mares Epic 82X Dual or the Mares Dual 62X.
Lightweight and robust second stage
The Dual Octopus is a modified version of the Dual 2nd stage, a lighter, more compact and modern Mares Octopus, with good air delivery performance and robust construction.
The Octopus is made of very light and unbreakable Ultralight technopolymer, which is extremely abrasion and salt water resistant.
Patented technology leads to very good breathing comfort
The breathing resistance of this alternative air supply impresses with excellent values, as the Octopus is equipped with the same patented VAD technology as all Dual 2.stages. The VAD system vortex support with built-in hydrodynamic reflector ensures a constant air supply at any depth.
The Dual Octopus is also available as an Octopus with adjustable breathing resistance, in the Dual ADJ version.
High visibility thanks to high-quality, yellow Superflex hose and yellow purge button
As an Octopus, the Dual 2nd stage is also equipped with the high-quality Superflex hose to guarantee maximum freedom of movement when diving, but in this version in bright yellow for good visibility. For the same reason, the large, easy-to-operate purge button is also designed in highly visible yellow.
