Shearwater Perdix 2 Ti Dive Computer with SWIFT Transmitter
The dive computer Perdix 2 Ti, here together with the compatible SWIFT Transponder, is a powerful dive computer with advanced features, a dive computer for demanding recreational divers, technical divers or dive professionals, the most robust and reliable full-size computer from the young Canadian manufacturer Shearwater, who has already convinced the diving world with high-end dive computers such as the Shearwater Teric or the everyday dive computer Peregrine, and who is a technical diver himself and therefore knows exactly what a demanding diver needs underwater to dive safely and relaxed.
One of the most rugged dive computers on the market
Built to withstand the most demanding diving conditions, the Perdix 2 can withstand dives to a depth of 260m, thanks to its extremely rugged, screw-in construction with titanium bezel and buttons and toughened aluminosilicate glass protection.
Also suitable for rebreathers and sidemounts
The Perdix 2 offers six dive modes, including one gauge mode, three modes for recreational divers and two for advanced divers.
For recreational divers, there are two Basic OC Open Circuit modes for open circuits with air tank and regulator, including one compressed air mode, one Nitrox Single Gas mode for up to 40% oxygen and one 3-Gas mode for 3 different breathing gases with an oxygen content of up to 100%.
Advanced tech divers have the choice between an OC Tec mode, Open Circuit which also allows Trimix and does not include safety stops, and a CC Closed Circuit mode, for closed circuit with constant PO2, with up to 5 different gas mixtures and Trimix, with the option to switch to open circuit and emergency air, which qualifies the Perdix 2 as a dive computer for rebreathers.
In OC mode, the Perdix 2 can even be connected with up to 4 Shearwater transmitters simultaneously, which is ideal for sidemount diving.
Easy operation in every diving situation
But no matter whether you are a recreational diver, a technical diver or a professional diver, it was important to the manufacturer that his Shearwater dive computers are as easy to use as possible, individually configurable and clearly laid out. And this has been achieved perfectly with the Perdix 2 Ti, because the two large control buttons on the side are very easy to operate even with thick neoprene gloves, and the razor-sharp, very easy-to-read LCD display is extremely clear and can be structured according to your own needs.
Life-saving, configurable alarm functions
This intelligent dive computer can easily distinguish between a simple warning and an alarm for a life-threatening situation and inform the diver accordingly in different ways. In contrast to simple, non-safety-related information, which is only displayed briefly, safety-related warnings are displayed permanently, in warning colours, and must be confirmed by the diver himself, who must take action.
Life-threatening situations, such as excessive oxygen partial pressure, exceeding the maximum operating depth, are permanently displayed in red, require immediate action on the part of the diver and only disappear when the circumstances that led to this situation have been eliminated.
The alarm functions are audible and visual, marked in different colours and with flashing function, partly accompanied by a vibration alarm (only when operating with Lithium batteries) and most of them can be individually configured by the diver.
With integrated compass
An integrated, digital 3-axis compass with tilt compensation and clear application ensures problem-free navigation underwater.
More safety through innovative decompression algorithm
The basic decompression algorithm used by this computer is the Bühlmann ZHL-16C algorithm. However, this has been modified by the makers of the Shearwater dive computers, themselves passionate divers, by using gradient factors developed by Erik Baker. This new code provides divers who are beyond the limits of basic recreational diving with more safety and more accuracy when calculating deep stops.
Alternatively, two other algorithms can be purchased, the VPM-B or the DCIEM algorithm.
Practical, with easily replaceable batteries
So you won't be let down by your dive computer on hour-long dives, this Shearwater computer is equipped with simple AA batteries that are available everywhere, can be easily replaced before each dive and guarantee up to 40 hours of continuous use with air integration activated.
Easy connectivity
You no longer need a cable for this dive computer, with convenient Bluetooth wireless technology that allows you to connect your Perdix 2 to any smartphone, tablet or desktop to store and share your dives in the Shearwater Cloud, available in 13 languages, or to regularly update the free software.
Shearwater Transmitter SWIFT
This transponder is the compatible transmitter for all Shearwater dive computers with air integration, like the Perdix, or the popular Teric in watch format.
Robust transmitter with stable connection
The SWIFT transmitter features robust construction and stable connection while diving. For the Perdix 2 and Teric computers you can even use up to four Swift transmitters at the same time, which is very important especially for technical diving and sidemount diving.
The Shearwater transmitter is very robustly built and easy to use - just attach it to the HD connector of your regulator, pair it with the Shearwater dive computer and off you go!
You have a wireless transmission range of up to 1m with the SWIFT transmitter, which connects to your compatible dive computer via a low frequency RF 38kHz connection. Data transmission between transmitter and computer is reliable and stable in all diving conditions.
Also suitable for extreme diving conditions
And because Shearwater dive computers are also designed for extreme diving conditions, this transponder is operational down to a depth of 150m, and offers an incredible runtime of up to 300 dive hours on just one battery, so you won't be let down by your dive computer on long, demanding dives.
The Shearwater Transmitter battery is a standard 3V CR2 lithium battery that can be changed by the user. The status of the transmitter battery is shown on the display of the Shearwater dive Computer.
