Mares 72X 1st stage
The Mares 72X first stage is a full metal Mares 1st stage consisting of solid brass, chrome and nickel plated, with a pearl chrome finish.
Good freezing protection
The 72X is suitable for use in cold water as it has advanced freezing protection. This is because the heat exchange of this 1st stage has been optimised by increasing the outer surface area through some fins, which means that the stage will not freeze even in cold water.
Flexible hose routing for extensive regulator systems
On the 1st stage 72X you will find a total of 8 LP ports, innovatively placed 4 vertically and 4 horizontally, for unprecedented flexibility in hose routing and regulator configuration. In addition, all LP ports are equipped with natural DFC. This is the proven Mares Dynamic Flow Control technology that minimises medium pressure drop on inhalation and ensures excellent air delivery performance, even in extreme conditions.
The positioning of the HP ports is also new, as they sit at a slight angle to further improve hose routing.
Substantially more durable valve
Another innovation on the 72X, and on all Mares 1.Stages with the "X" designation, is the ACT valve, equipped with Advanced Coating Technology resulting in 600% more valve durability.
No ingress of water and impurities
Of course, the new Mares 1st stage 72X also offers the now very popular AST - Auto Sealing Technolgy, which means that the new Mares 1st stages automatically seal themselves as soon as they are removed from the dive tank, to prevent accidental water ingress.
