Convenient for all water sports, especially for divers
The inReach Mini 2 satellite communicator is splash-proof even without a waterproof housing and can withstand a fall into shallow water up to a maximum depth of 1 m and a maximum duration of 30 minutes.
But for sports where you risk dropping the communicator into deeper water, such as sailing trips, canoe tours, but primarily for diving, it makes sense to equip the valuable device with a suitable underwater housing. This robust dive case is waterproof to a depth of 100m, and thus protects your satellite phone from water damage indefinitely, whether you accidentally drop your device into the water or you take it with you on a dive.
Reliable, worldwide communication at the water surface
Of course, most divers are enjoying their silent and peaceful underwater trip and don't want to make any phone calls while diving, and this is not really what the inReach Dive Case is meant for, because not even the ingenious inReach satellite phone allows you to make any phone calls underwater.
But if you ever happen to surface somewhere where you are not supposed to be, for example after a drift dive, or if you ever get lost in unfamiliar offshore areas, you will be more than happy to be able to make a phone call when you reach the surface, or even send an emergency signal to the Garmin Emergency Center.
